Through honest, often darkly humorous storytelling, Steve explores themes of resilience, trauma, identity, and recovery, while also offering first-hand insight into the rapid spread of Islamist extremist networks within the prison system, and the consequences this has for rehabilitation and ultimately, public safety.

Once serving a prison sentence for murder, his life took an unexpected and heroic turn during the 2019 London Bridge terror attack, where he courageously helped subdue an armed terrorist using a narwhal tusk. His actions that day earned him the prestigious Queen’s Gallantry Medal and national recognition
Now an international speaker and author of The Road to London Bridge, Steve travels the world sharing his story of accountability, redemption, and courage. His talk in Penarth promises to be deeply moving, offering insight into the events that reshaped his life and the lessons he has learned along the way. Woody’s Lodge
