Gaucho and Katherine Jenkins’ Cygnet Gin teamed up to create a special-edition cocktail where all profits are donated to the Welsh charity dedicated to supporting veterans, as well as to celebrate Gaucho Cardiff’s first birthday.

Gaucho, the renowned Argentine restaurant group, is excited to unveil a special partnership with Cygnet Gin, the luxury gin brand owned by Katherine Jenkins OBE, the biggest selling classical artist of the century and artist and social-impact filmmaker partner, Andrew Levitas. This event also marks a special milestone as Gaucho Cardiff celebrates its first birthday.

The two brands have come together to create the refreshing cocktail “Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz”. For each cocktail sold, £10 will be donated to Woody’s Lodge, a Welsh charity dedicated to supporting veterans, emergency services personnel, and their families.
The Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz is a botanical and light cocktail, combining the distinctive Cygnet 22 Gin with MUYU Jasmine, Yerba Maté – a traditional Argentine herb-based drink – and Chandon sparkling wine. This harmonious blend of flavours pays homage to the Welsh expat community in Patagonia, resulting in a truly unique and refreshing cocktail.

Martin Williams, CEO of Gaucho, said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Katherine Jenkins and Cygnet Gin to create the Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz. Gaucho has recently unveiled its all-new cocktail list, The Spirit of Argentina, where we’ve invested heavily to create 20 groundbreaking drinks that are up there with the best in the world, and this cocktail is no exception. Moreover, we are proud to support Woody’s Lodge, a charity that does invaluable work by supporting, mentoring and signposting veterans, emergency services, reservists, and their families. Additionally, celebrating Gaucho Cardiff’s first birthday with this initiative makes it even more special. We’ve loved getting to know the city of Cardiff over the past year, and we’re looking forward to many more years to come.”

Katherine added: “It’s always been the greatest honour to support the men, women and families who serve our country – this will always be such an important part of my life. As founder of Cygnet Gin, I take great pride in the knowledge that together with Gaucho we are able to support Woody’s Lodge, a local Welsh charity, that supports veterans and their families, in providing a safe and social environment.”
Sian Woodland, Co-Founder and Deputy CEO of Woody’s Lodge said: “I am honoured by Gaucho and Cygnet Gin’s creation of the ‘Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz’, benefiting our veterans and their families. This partnership exemplifies community spirit and supports our mission to provide vital support to veterans and their families across Wales.”
The Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz is available at all Gaucho locations starting from now. Guests are invited to enjoy this exceptional cocktail while contributing to the vital work of Woody’s Lodge.

Vale Life and City Life Editor, Jennifer Hobbs-Roberts was extended an invitation to celebrate with both Gaucho and Cygnet Gin’s collaboration at an event to mark the restaurant’s first birthday. Jennifer invited colleague and friend Cheryl Bass of the popular women’s networking company I AM WOMAN to the event, and both enjoyed the occasion immensely.
“I’ve been lucky to visit Gaucho on a couple of occasions as a family and, as a true carnivore it ticks all of my boxes. The atmosphere, service and food are second to none and we are looking forward to when we can next visit,” said Jennifer.
She continued, “I am not one for gin as a rule. I much prefer vodka but, having sampled Cygnet Gin at another event, I was so taken that on my next trip to Marks and Spencer where the gin is also available, I bought a bottle!”
Cheryl Bass said, “I’ve not had the pleasure of visiting Gaucho for a meal yet but it’s definitely on my list and, after sampling and enjoying the canapes that were served on the evening, it has definitely made up my mind to make the booking.”

About Gaucho
Gaucho began its story with a deep admiration for Argentina: its vibrant people, captivating lifestyle, rich culture and renowned culinary heritage. Inspired by the enchanting gaucho (Argentine cowboy) way of life and the desire to bring the essence of modern Argentina to London, the first Gaucho opened its doors in the West End’s Piccadilly, 30 years ago. Since then, the restaurant group has made a name for itself by serving the world’s finest, steaks alongside Latin American cuisine and the UK’s most extensive selection of indigenous Malbec wines. With twenty restaurants in total, the group now has twelve outposts in London and eight more in vibrant cities across the UK. Explore more at gauchorestaurants.com.
