Like our sister magazine, Vale Life, we’ll be tagging some of our posts with ‘City Life Blog’. We thought about shortening it to Clog but somehow that sounded weird so we’ve settled on City Life Blog. Sometimes Jennifer will write them, sometimes Mark (that’s me in this case).
My new Asics trainers. Nice.
To kick things off, we’d just like to praise the staff at Sports Direct in Cardiff Bay. Now we know the boss, Mike Ashley, comes in for a bit of criticism but the staff there are a credit to the company. Super helpful and really lovely to deal with. We were in there yesterday buying new trainers and walking boots (we walk a lot) and they made the whole experience a pleasure. So, Five Stars to Sports Direct.
Honestly, if we could support an independent, we would, but we don’t know any that sell trainers and walking boots locally. At least we weren’t on Ebay or Amazon.
